I checked it out – good unit, if you don’t want to use one receiver on cam and one on remote flash. You can buy it with only one receiver for this price (the special or the normal price – the special price is probably expired by now). Or get an extra receiver for not much more.
So why would you want an extra receiver? Because you can use the trigger on the cam’s hotshoe, to trigger the cam and fire two remote flashes. Apparently land agents do this all the time – illuminating a room for their brochures, etc.
It seems the problem with using the remote trigger to fire two receivers – one on the cam and one on a remote flash – is that there’s a slight time delay with the flash, if you do that with this unit. You can do it with other more expensive units (Yongnuo make a transceiver that you can do it with – three of their transceivers, one on the cam, one on the remote flash and one to trigger the others – everything firing simultaneously), but not with the Vello.
