Now that the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are out, we are starting to see some real world footage and comparisons. In this interesting test, Jonathan Morrison pits the iPhone 8 against the $30,000 RED EPIC-W for a slow motion comparison at 1080p and 240fps. Apple continues to impress with the photo and video features and 240fps genuinely looks great on the iPhone 8.
Of course, if you’ve got a $30k camera at your disposal, you aren’t interested in shooting alternatively with the iPhone 8. However, the iPhone 8 makes a great slow motion camera for the rest of us.

In this seamless flight, drone pilot Paul Nurkkala toys with a passing train by performing a variety of stunts around, and even under, the train.
I’ll be honest; I get sucked into the drone racing shows on TV. Personally, I have to worry about hitting a tree in an open field, but this is just next level stuff.
Yes, he probably broke a dozen or so laws in the process, and scared one train conductor for sure, but it was an incredible moment when he passed under the train between the tracks and the bottom of the train car. While it looked like he knicked the edge of the train car, his drone lived to tell about it.
Kudos for the incredible flight, and don’t try this at home folks!

The new update for Aurora HDR is coming later this month – September 28 to be exact. Aurora HDR 2018 adds a ton of new features, including a completely redone tone mapping algorithm that automatically reduces noise, and produces more realistic and natural initial results.
If you’re not familiar with Aurora HDR, it is the software co-created by Trey Ratcliff and the folks at Macphun, which makes other popular photo software apps like Intensify, Tonality and Snapheal.

Amazon has the Panasonic LX100 for $559.95 right now (compare at $797.99). The LX100 features a 16.8MP 4/3? sensor and a Leica 24-75mm equivalent lens with a bright f/1.7-2.8 aperture.
