Panasonic Lumix GM1 Ultra-Compact Mirrorless Camera Unveiled

The Panasonic Lumix GM1 takes the compact mirrorless market to a new level of compact. While the GM1 is a Micro Four Thirds camera, it isn’t your average interchangeable lens camera.

It’s so small that it actually beats out the very tiny Pentax Q10 as the smallest interchangeable lens camera in the world. That’s quite a feat considering that the Pentax Q10 has a much smaller sensor inside. [Read more…]

Sigma 24-105mm f/4 DG OS HSM Lens Coming in November

A little more detail on the new Sigma 24-105mm f/4 DG OS HSM lens came out today with the official press release. Apparently, the earlier confirmation via Sigma’s website was a bit premature and was subsequently pulled from their site until today when the press release hit.

Sony Cyber-shot RX10 Finally Official and It’s a Beast of a Camera

Along with the new Sony A7 and A7R full frame cameras, Sony officially announced its new Cyber-shot RX10, which is basically the superzoom cousin to the very popular RX100.

Benro S6 Video Monopod Unveiled

Benro has introduced its new S6 Video Monopod, which provides a 13.2 lb payload capacity as well as a 4-step counterbalance for working with heavier cameras and longer lenses. The S6 head includes an independent pan lock, which allows the user to pan smoothly without having to turn the entire monopod. Equipped with a 65mm flat base with a 3/8″ thread, the S6 video head can be removed from the monopod allowing users to mount the head separately on sliders, jibs or half ball adapters. [Read more…]
