Imagenomic has announced the release of Realgrain 2, a “finishing” plugin for achieving accurate black-and-white conversion, toning, colorizing and darkroom effects and simulates the grain patterns, color, and tonal range of conventional silver halide films.
Realgrain 2 is now 64-bit compatible for Mac and Windows and works with Adobe Photoshop Creative Cloud, CS5/CS6 and Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 as well as Apple Aperture.
The plugin comes with a number of pre-defined effect presets as well as a library of 25 color and 20 black-and-white film presets. The software’s new History Control also allows an unlimited number of history steps for fine-tuning, precise settings, and lots of experimenting to find the perfect look without losing previous steps.
It is available as a free upgrade for current users of Realgrain 1.0 and offered at a discount ($49.95) to owners of Imagenomic Portraiture and/or Noiseware plugins. A cross-grade from Photoshop to Aperture plugin versions is also discounted at $49.95. The full license for Realgrain 2 retails for $99.95.
