SF to Paris Timelapse

April 9, 2011 By Eric Reagan

They say adding motion to a timelapse is the way to make it really shine. The folks at Beepshow used an Air France jet as a 5000 mile dolly to capture this cool timelapse on an 11 hour flight from San Francisco to Paris.

The timelapse was captured with a Canon 5D Mark II and 16-35mm f/2.8 lens.  Audio was mixed on an iPad and the whole thing was edited in iMovie and After Effects CS5.

Yet another reason to always get the window seat.

I guess you need to get a special permit for that? Because usually you’re not allowed to using electronic devices during takeoff and landing.

    Cheers,

    Timo
