Canon has launched a new professional photo printer, the PIXMA PRO-1. The new PRO-1 features 12 separate inks and supports 1200ppi input resolution and print resolutions up to 4800 x 2400 dpi.
And, of course, what would a new Canon printer be without the ability to utilize the direct print function on a pro Canon DSLR?
No word yet on price or availability. I’ll update as soon as that info is revealed.

We have a Canon Pixma, although NOT THIS MODEL.
I would think twice before buying Canon again; it uses a ridiculous amount of ink very quickly, which is very costly to replace. It would be nice to see technology incorporated that gives a longer life to the ink, so you don’t have to take a bank loan out every time the cartridges need to be replaced!.
the cost of the ink is that way for all printers no matter the make, it is the price you pay for having it on your desk. If you don’t like the price to “Play the game” then don’t buy the printer. They can’t hear you, laughing all the way to the bank
