Canon PowerShot G1 X Successor Leaks Out, Shows Detachable EVF

February 8, 2014 By Eric Reagan

G1X2

The upcoming replacement for the PowerShot G1 X has leaked out a few days before release. The camera is rumored to have a slimmer body and lighter weight, as well as an external EVF. Most notable, the lens is expected to be improved to a 24-120mm f/2-3.9 lens (compared to the f/2.8-5.8 lens on the original G1 X).

Additionally, the G1 X successor should be equipped with a DIGIC 6 processor and cost around $700 USD.

Nice specs, but what have they done to fix the real issue with the gx1 which was the completely useless autofocus?

I own Canon and I’m quickly loosing faith in this company when all they can put out is minor fixes and slight improvements to already out dated products!
Panasonic, Sony, Fuji, they are all looking good to me.
