Recent rumors suggest that we will see a pair of new Canon TS-E tilt-shift lenses added to Canon’s lineup in September for Photokina 2014.
The current TS-E 45mm f/2.8 and TS-E 90mm F/2.8 are well-overdue replacement; however, rumors point to only the 45mm lens getting a direct replacement while the other TS-E lens in the pipeline with be a “longer focal length” but not a 90mm lens.
The release of these lenses has been rumored for nearly a year now, so perhaps they were delayed for their 2013 release. Or, maybe the rumor mill is yanking our chain again. If the new TS-E lenses are coming to Photokina though, expect rumors and leaks to pick up as we draw closer to the September release date.

I own all 4 of Canon’s tilt-shift lenses. My main beef with the 45mm is the focus helicoils have a bit of sloppy play. At any given focus point, the focus ring has a minute amount of free movement before proper friction can be felt. The entire point of a manual focus lens is precision, and Canon’s current 45mm offering is good, not great.
