There was a lot of hype and speculation built up for the Canon “See Impossible” teaser. After the site went live, however, it turns out that it is just a marketing fluff site that highlights Canon’s new branding and marketing plan for the foreseeable future.
As Canon explains in its press release, it is:
a branding effort aimed to inspire customers to see impossible with Canon products. As part of the companywide marketing initiative, the iconic brand will roll out a new logo visual to include the addition of the “Canon See Impossible” tagline, accompanied by a 3-D visual of an expanding box, symbolizing the Company’s desire to break the boundaries of what is possible and shift the focus from Canon as being solely a manufacturer of quality digital imaging products to a Company that empowers the creative spirit within its people and customers.
Central to the new marketing initiative, the light within the borderless box represents the dedication the Company has to building new collaboration paths with both consumers and commercial clients to constantly innovate and to challenge convention. As the next chapter in the Company’s long history unfolds, Canon is working to listen, adapt, and build a prescient understanding of the changing market forces it faces today and the opportunities they present.

So really, this is nothing but a new advertising campaign, yay canon, OR NOT. No new products, just a vow of commitment to customers? Boo
I Canon do vow, to provide my customers with products under spec of my competitors, priced slightly higher and updated every 3-5 years.
LOL

So true, but then what other choice do you have. I shot both Nikon and Canon and then I made a stupid decision and switched to Sony A7, now I’m switching back but to Canon exclusively as they have the best customer service here in the middle east and you can find tons of accessories wherever you go.

Lmbo. What a crock. Kind of a slap in the face. Im a canon enthusiast although they make it hard to be one. Oh yeah and they are going to use (superior) Sony sensors in some cameras. Yes I have lots of faith ATM.
