If you have the Fuji X-T1, it comes with a great little hot shoe flash – the Fuji EF-X8. The bad news, however, is that you can’t easily find a replacement to order online should something happen to the little EF-X8 flash.

Fuji EF-X8 Flash
I contacted the Fuji Guys to help out a reader who was having no luck finding the flash after his broke when he dropped his camera. The reader had contacted Fuji customer service directly but was left hanging and there is nothing on Fuji’s website in the replacement part section for the EF-X8.
The Fuji Guys got back to me quick with a number, which I passed along and he got his replacement unit ordered for $58 plus shipping.
Here’s the number to call for the replacement part in the US:
- 800-659-3854 (x3461)
Also, the reader said he was directed to different number for the part order, which I’ll go ahead and pass along as well:
- 800-800-3854
So, there you go. I received a second email from another reader in Australia looking for help finding this flash as well. I don’t have contact info for finding this flash in other countries yet, but I’ll update this post with any new info that comes in.
The good news is that Fuji is rumored to start a professional services department in the US in 2015, so hopefully these parts and servicing issues won’t persist in the US much longer and other countries will hopefully follow along after that.
A new professional Fuji service? That’s great! How reliable do you think your sources are?
I went back and found the link where I read it at Fuji Rumors. It’s linked in the post above now. You can judge for yourself on how credible that is, but I think it makes a lot of sense as we see more and more pro and enthusiast shooters move to Fuji’s X-Series.
Thanks again for your help with this Eric. Once I got to the right department they were very helpful. The cost was $58.
No problem Jeffrey. Glad I could help.
This item is now available on their Accessory website, http://fnacpartsaccessories.com/
I saw it there when purchased my full manual for my XP80.
