Adobe Camera Raw 8.7.1 Now Available

December 11, 2014 By Eric Reagan

Camera Raw 8.7.1

Adobe has announced the availability of Camera Raw 8.7.1 for Photoshop CC and Photoshop CS6, which adds RAW file support for the new Sony A7 II and updated support for the Samsung NX1. Several new lens profiles are also part of the update.

A corresponding update for Lightroom 5 (to version 5.7.1) is expected to be released within the next week. I’ll have the latest on that update as soon as it is released.

Finally, an update for the free DNG Coverter 8.7.1 is also available for Mac and Windows.

The one thing that really aggravates me with Creative Cloud is that EVERY time they update Camera Raw I need to update the entire collection of apps to use the new version. Shouldn’t this be a centralized thing?
