The ‘Nifty Fifty’ or Canon F/1.8 50mm lens is the best money can buy! This and the Nikon 35mm F/1.8 are the only lenses that I recommend (because of price) on my Photography Workshops here in London UK. Not only are they good optically but will produce the ‘fall off’ that every one wants getting into photography. The biggest factor of all is they are very affordable. Shame Canon don’t make the 35mm F/1.8 as this would sit better on cropped sensor’s.
