This is NOT GOOD! It makes me want to get a Canon 7D Mk2!

If it had image stabilization, that would be awesome!

Maybe the 5D4 will have a crop mode? I love shooting with the 18-35 when I can.

There’s a few reviews I’ve read and they are all pretty consistent: heavy, really sharp, perfect compliment to the 18-35, and almost parfocal. Tripod collar is permanent, can be rotated, but for video usage with some bodies it’s an issue.

I’m considering, but really want clarity on my next body/sensor before I invest over $1k on it.

Not sure a crop mode would help. If this is designed for crop sensors, it extends further into the body, and would damage the mirror on a full-frame body.

It’s designed for crop sensors, however Sigma uses an EF mount (not EFS) on their crop lenses. I believe all 3rd party manufacturers do. It MAY be compatible, however with some vignetting. There’s a lot of people who’ve tested the 18-35 on full frame Canon bodies.

Good to know! I wondered why it said for crop-sensor bodies, but didn’t say EF-s.
