Canon has finally updated its workhorse EF 70-300mm IS USM lens with the new EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS II USM.

The new lens adds improved optics, featuring one UD lens element, along with a circular 9-blade aperture. It also features Canon’s NANO USM technology for quiet and fast autofocus, as well as built-in image stabilization with up to 4 stops of shake correction.

The new 70-300mm lens features a LCD info display on the top of the lens barrel that provides details for focusing distance, focal length and shake amount.
