Alongside the Fuji X100S, the new Fuji X20 was unveiled at CES 2013. The X20 is a point and shoot camera that uses a 2/3″ 12MP X-Trans sensor and has no anti-aliasing filter. It features a bright 4x zoom lens (28-112mm equivalent) with a f/2-2.8 max aperture. [Read more…]

Fuji X100S Hands-On
The Fuji X100S is an upgrade to the very popular Fuji X100. The X100S builds on the success of its predecessor and takes several cues from user feedback to make a better all-around camera. At first blush, it seems to have hit the mark quite well. [Read more…]

Fuji X100s and X20 Coming on January 7 at CES 2013?
Fujifilm has a press conference scheduled for January 7, 2013 (next Monday) just prior to CES 2013. Photo Rumors is reporting that the Fuji X100s and X20 will be announced that day and will both be similar to the X100 and X10, respectively.
The Fuji X100s should contain the same leaf shutter as found in the X100, which is great news. The X100s should also offer focus peaking as an additional feature to aid in manual focusing.
I’ll have more on this from CES 2013 (hopefully live).

Fuji XF1 Hands-On
The Fuji XF1 is the latest X-Series point and shoot camera. It features a retro-style that’s as much of what defines the camera as technical features like the 12MP EXR CMOS sensor and f/1.8 lens.
The XF1 is certainly a pretty camera, and those specs put it near the top of point and shoot models around. The prints from the XF1 that I saw at PhotoPlus looked solid, which is promising for a camera as pretty as this one. [Read more…]
