Deal: Panasonic GH4 with 2TB Hard Drive for $997

I thought this deal was dead. I saw it the other day and went back to look for it and saw the GH4 was $1197 on B&H’s site. Well, I just checked an email from B&H and found the right link for the Panasonic GH4 that INCLUDES at WD 2TB hard drive for $997, which is basically $500 off the current retail price of the GH4 – and you get a free hard drive.

I know the GH5 is out now and that it’s a big deal, but the GH4 is still a solid camera that shoots 4K video as well.

New T-Shirt: #photographer Retro Camera Premium Shirt

Check out our new #photographer t-shirt design that features a simple rangefinder camera icon.

This is the same premium fabric that is found in the previously released When Life Gets Blurry, Adjust Your Focus T-Shirt. It is softer and thinner than the standard tee we started with. It’s also a little more breathable, which is better for the summer months ahead.

The premium t-shirts run a little small, so I suggest ordering one-size up. I’m usually somewhere between a large and an extra-large depending on how many tacos I eat. So, I order an extra-large version of all the premium tees and those fit about right for me.

B&H has a solid deal on the GoPro HERO4 Black for $299 that includes the GoPro LCD Touch BacPac and the GoPro Dual Battery Charger with a spare battery. I’ve been a bigger fan of the HERO4 because of the built-in touchscreen but the inclusion of this LCD BacPac, along with the external charger and battery, makes this a very tempting deal. Autonomous SmartDesk 2 Review

If there’s one thing I hate, it’s sitting at a desk for hours on end. As a photographer, video editor and blogger, I’m tied to a desk quite a bit. Fortunately, standing desks are a thing now and their popularity has led to significant competition that has really driven prices down over the past couple years. Last summer, I got an Uplift Desk and have loved every minute of it.

The Uplift Desk is great – but it was not cheap at around $800 for my configuration. Autonomous contacted me a couple months ago and offered to send me a desk to review. While their new SmartDesk 2 starts at $299, the option I configured ended up being $524 for the dual motor version, walnut surface and accessory kit. As such, it was more feature-rich on paper than the Uplift Desk I already have. [Read more…]
