PhotographyBLOG has posted a review of the Nikon D700.

Is it worth the asking price? Well that depends on your own would-be use and needs. For the amateur there are more affordable alternatives, but for the professional needing full frame capability it can be considered a steal.

Lensbaby 2.0 and 3G Review

September 1, 2008 By Eric Reagan

The Lensbaby 2.0 and 3G are selective focus SLR lenses, which have a flexible “lens barrel” to give you that smooth out of focus effect in portions of your images.  Basically, you bend, push and pull the lens to move the “Sweet Spot” where you want it and blur the remaining areas of the image. Fuji FinePix S1000fd Review at Steve’s Digicams

August 30, 2008 By Eric Reagan

Steve’s Digicams has posted a review of the Fuji FinePix S1000fd.

While the feature list makes this seem like a very appealing model, the below average shooting performance, horrible High ISO image noise, and just “average” 10-megapixel image quality results lower its appeal.

Canon EOS 450D Review at DigiCamReview

August 24, 2008 By Eric Reagan

DigiCamReview.com has posted a review of the Canon EOS 450D. The new EOS 450D (aka Digital Rebel XSi) kit comes with an stabilized 18-55mm lens. Canon’s entry-level DSLR now features a 3? rear LCD panel that’s capable of Live View framing and focusing.

Image quality is good – with excellent colour, with high levels of saturation and contrast. Noise is acceptable higher than average compared to the competition, but is low up to ISO400 and detail is good.

Nikon D700 Review at PopPhoto

August 24, 2008 By Eric Reagan

PopPhoto has posted a review of the Nikon D700.

Does the D700 obviate the more expensive D3? Not for high-end pros: Hardcore types who find themselves shooting in the Arctic one month and the desert the next will prefer the D3’s extraordinarily tight level of weathersealing.
