Panasonic LUMIX G3

The Panasonic LUMIX G3 is a new 16MP Micro Four Thirds camera that can capture 1920 x 1080 HD video in AVCHD.

The G3 offers a sensitivity range of ISO 160-6400 and a capture rate of 4 frames per second.  The G3 has a 3″ articulating touchscreen LCD monitor, as well as an electronic viewfinder.

The Panasonic LUMIX G3 should be available in June at an initial retail price of $699.99 with a 14-42mm kit lens and $599.99 for the body only.  Check availability on Amazon.com and B&H Photo.

Panasonic Announces Prices for Lumix GF2 and New Compact Cameras

Panasonic has announced pricing on some of its recently-introduced Lumix digital cameras.

The Panasonic Lumix GF2 will carry a retail price of $499.95 for the body only.  The GF2 and 14-42mm lens kit will retail for $599.95, while the GF2 and 14mm prime lens kit will retail for $699.95.  The Lumix GF2 should be available later this month.

Panasonic Lumix FX78

The Panasonic Lumix FX78 is a new 12.1MP compact camera with a 5x optical zoom lens and a 3.5-inch touchscreen LCD.  The FX78 captures 1920 x 1080 AVCHD video and shoots still images at up to 3.7 fps for up to 7 frames.

The Lumix FX78 should be available in March with no announced price as of today.

Panasonic Lumix TS3

The Panasonic Lumix TS3 is a shockprook, waterproof and dustproof digital camera.  The TS3 features a 12.1MP sensor, 4.6x optical zoom lens and a 2.7-inch LCD.  The Lumix TS3 also captures 1920 x 1080 AVCHD video and offers high speed still image frame rates of 3.7 frames per second for up to 7 frames.

The TS3 is waterproof down to 40 feet, shockproof to 6.6 feet and freeze proof down to 14° F.

Panasonic Lumix FP7 and FP5

The Panasonic Lumix FP7 and FP5 are new ultra-compact cameras introduced at CES 2011.  The FP7 features a 16.1MP sensor and 3.5-inch touchscreen display, while the FP5 sports a 14.1MP sensor and 3-inch touchscreen LCD.  Both cameras have a 4x optical zoom lens and capture 720p HD video.  Prices and availability will be announced at a later date.

Panasonic Lumix FH27 and FH25

The Panasonic Lumix FH27 and FH25 are new 16.1MP cameras featuring 8x optical zoom lenses.  The FH27 has a 3-inch touchscreen LCD, while the FH25 features a non-touch 2.7-inch LCD.  Both cameras allow capture of 720p HD video.  Price and release dates will be announced at a later date.
