Nikon Refurbished Deals at B&H

Canon 2010 Spring/Summer Instant Rebates for Lenses

Canon has announced its lineup of lenses and flashes eligible for instant rebate savings for Spring / Summer 2010.

This is an instant rebate program too – no mailing receipts and UPC codes and then waiting 6-8 weeks. The rebate applies for purchases on qualifying Canon gear made between May 9 and July 10, 2010.

Gura Gear Camera Bags

Wildlife photographer, Andy Biggs, has launched a new camera bag line called Gura Gear.  Biggs designed the first bag in the line, the Kiboko, to his specifications based on his needs in the field.  The Kiboko weighs 4 pounds and is made from high-tech Dimension Polyant VX-21,which is a waterproof material used on sailboats. The Kiboko is fully customizable with extra dividers and a removable rain cover. It accommodates up to 500mm and 600mm lenses (both at the same time).

Pentax Optio W90 Reviews and Resources

The Pentax Optio W90 is a 12.1MP point and shoot camera that features a shockproof, waterproof and freezeproof body, along with a 2.7-incd LCD, 720p HD video capture and a Digital Microscope mode with LED lights providing lighting for up close subjects.  The W90 will include a carabiner for attaching the camera to a belt or backpack for quick access.  Check out Photography Bay’s Pentax W90 Hands-on Review.

The Samsung AQ100 and SL605 are two 12MP point and shoot cameras introduced at PMA 2010.

Brrr! I’m not too sure about the rest of you, but it’s getting pretty frosty here in NYC as the holiday season is rolling around. One thing that you see while walking around is people fiddling with their cameras trying to shoot in the cold weather. Perhaps they’re wearing gloves, or their glasses are frosted up, or they’re hands are shivering amongst other things. To help you and those other folks out, here are a couple of tips to keep in mind how to shoot in the cold with a point-and-shoot and a DSLR.
