Fuji 3D Camera Priced at $600, Coming in September

July 13, 2009 By Eric Reagan

Fuji 3D Camera

Fuji is right on schedule for the release of its dual-lens 3D camera in September, which won’t require special glasses to “get” the 3D effect.  Time got some hands-on experience with a prototype of the new shooter and, overall, it looks pretty impressive.  One of the other interesting tidbits, is that Fuji is planning on launching a print service in order to make the special 3D prints available.  Again, no 3D glasses required.

Time also got word that the camera’s price should come in “around $600” with the aforementioned 3D prints at $5 or less.  3D cameras have been tried before; however, the technological hurdles have never been as low as now.  Fuji could really be onto something here and we could be looking at the tip of a very large iceberg.

No Fuji DSLRs in 2009

June 25, 2009 By Eric Reagan

According to PDN Pulse, there will be no Fuji DSLRs released in 2009.

“Fuji is not manufacturing a pro camera for this year,” Diane Rainey, Group Manager for Fujifilm’s Corporate Communications said at a press event last night. “However, we are continuing to support whatever’s out there right now.”

Fuji Finepix S2000 HD Review at Cameras.co.uk

October 15, 2008 By Eric Reagan

Camera.co.uk has published a review of the Fuji Finepix S2000 HD.

In my view the Fuji Finepix S2000HD does not match up to the best cameras in this section. It is true that it is not the most expensive super zoom camera, but I feel by paying that bit more you will get better value for money.

Fujifilm FinePix S2000HD Review at Digital Camera Info

October 1, 2008 By Eric Reagan

Digital Camera Info has published a first impressions review of the Fujifilm FinePix S2000HD.

At $300, the Fujifilm FinePix S2000HD is essentially a scaled-down version of the Olympus SP-565 UZ. The menu system isn’t as well organized, the zoom isn’t as powerful, the screen is much noisier, and it doesn’t provide nearly the same breadth of features (the Olympus goes so far as to tutor you on how to use it).

Fuji FinePix F100fd Review at DC Resource

August 2, 2008 By Eric Reagan

DC Resource has published a review of the 12 megapixel Fujifilm Finepix F100fd.

Overall, I have mixed feelings about the FinePix F100fd. It’s a nice enough compact camera, with good photo quality and a host of user-friendly features (though it has its share of annoyances, too). At the same time, as someone who has used all of the models in the F-series, I’m disappointed with the direction Fuji has taken the line in recent years (in terms of low light shooting, battery life, etc).

Fujifilm FinePix S8100fd Review at PhotographyBLOG

August 1, 2008 By Eric Reagan

PhotographyBLOG has posted a review of the Fujifilm FinePix S8100fd.

The new Fujifilm FinePix S8100fd ultra-zoom camera is a rather modest update of it’s predecessor, the S8000fd. New features include the inevitable increase in megapixels, up from 8 to 10, new Zoom Bracketing and Instant Zoom modes and some new continuous shooting modes. The S8100fd also offers the same CCD-shift image stabilisation system, 2.5-inch LCD monitor with a refresh rate of 60 frames per second, electronic viewfinder, Face Detection system and battery life of up to 400 pictures as the S8000fd. With a street price of less than £200 / $350, Gavin Stoker found out if the Fujifilm S8100fd can successfully undercut its main rivals without sacrificing features, performance or picture quality.

Fujifilm FinePix S100FS Review at Imaging Resource

July 30, 2008 By Eric Reagan

Imaging Resource has posted a review of the Fujifilm FinePix S100FS.

From the ergonomic body with the luxury of lots of buttons to the long zoom with great macro performance to its extended dynamic range and high ISO shooting, the S100FS was a greater and greater pleasure the more I used it.
