I’ve been a bigger fan of the HERO4 because of the built-in touchscreen but the inclusion of this LCD BacPac, along with the external charger and battery, makes this a very tempting deal. It looks like the GoPro HERO5 has leaked out ahead of the official announcement (usually in the Sept./Oct. timeframe). Based on a video that surfaced on Reddit and later on The Verge, the HERO5 appears to feature a touchscreen display and a new connection option called GoPro Sniper. [Read more…]
This bird’s nest timelapse video with a GoPro did not turn out as expected. Tan Nguyen found the nest in his front yard and set up his GoPro camera in the tree to capture the action. He got much more than he bargained for and now his nature video has amassed over 5 million views in less than a week.

GoPro strapped a few of its HERO4 cameras to a 20-foot SL-10 rocket and sent them to the edge of space. The stunning video shows the rocket traveling up to an altitude of 396,000ft and reaching a speed of Mach 5.5 (3800mph).
