Recent rumors suggest the previously leaked Nikon D3300, along with new Nikkor 35mm f/1.8G FX and 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G DX lenses are due at CES 2014 on January 7.
Along with the D3300 and new lenses, we should also expect some new point and shoot cameras from Nikon.

Nikon AF-S 35mm f/1.8G DX Lens
New rumors suggest that Nikon will announce a 35mm f/1.8 lens for FX format cameras for CES 2014. This lens would serve as a complement to the 35mm f/1.8G DX lens (pictured above) and sit under the higher-end 35mm f/1.4G FX lens. It also may mark the end of the old 35mm f/2D, but I doubt the price stays around the $360 mark of the 35mm f/2.

A couple of interesting patent applications have surfaced for new Nikon 600mm f/4 and 400mm f/2.8 lenses. The current versions of these lenses (the Nikkor 400mm f/2.8G and the 600mm f/4G) will be 7 years old in 2014. [Read more…]
Images of the Nikon D3300 showed up on Nikon Rumors thanks to an anonymous tipster. The images, if legit, show that the D3300 is essentially the same design as the D3200 (no surprise there).
The Nikon D3200 was announce back in April 2013, so it’s not quite time for the D3300 to officially drop; however, I wouldn’t be surprised if the D3300 showed up at CES 2014.

Amazon let the cat out of the bag a little early after it showed up on a product listing earlier today. The price for the body only is $2750, while the Nikon Df with the new 50mm f/1.8G lens is $3000. Additionally, the main features of the camera were confirmed. [Read more…]
Nikon released its “Pure Photography” #6 yesterday (embedded below), which really revealed nothing else about the camera. More importantly, however, are several clean images of the new Nikon Df camera that leaked out and show off all of the features, dials and buttons that have been teased for the past couple of weeks.

The fourth Nikon ‘Pure Photography‘ teaser is out and, of course, there is just a little more of the camera revealed. Now, there’s further confirmation of the rumored retro design from the Nikon F3.
