Sony DSC-W130 Review at Steve’s Digicams

June 8, 2008 By Eric Reagan

Steve’s Digicams has posted a review of the Sony DSC-130.

It is incredibly easy to use with several automatic shooting modes to assist you in difficult situations (not to mention a very handy Smile Shutter mode). The quality of our images was very good, as was the video.

Sony A350 Review at DP Review

June 7, 2008 By Eric Reagan

DP Review has posted a full review of the Sony A350.

It’s certainly a competitively-priced, well-specified camera and one that feels better-constructed than many of its rivals. It’s also one that smoothes down the learning curve and will totally satisfy users who aren’t familiar with what the best modern DSLRs are capable of.

Sony Alpha A350 Review at DC Resource

May 26, 2008 By Eric Reagan

DC Resource has posted a review of the new 14.2 megapixel Sony A350.

Camera performance was excellent in most areas. The DSLR-A350 is ready to start taking pictures as soon as you flip the power switch. The camera focuses very quickly, except in low light, where things were a little sluggish. Shutter lag wasn’t an issue (even when using live view), and shot-to-shot delays were minimal.

Sony Cybershot DSC-S750 Review at Imaging Resource

May 15, 2008 By Eric Reagan

Imaging Resource has posted a review of the 7.2 megapixel Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S750. The S750 has a 3x optical zoom, 2.5″ rear LCD panel and a sensitivity range of ISO 100-2500.

Overall, shooting with the Sony S750 was pretty straightforward under normal conditions and in the normal parameters. Most functions were easy to find, either in the LCD menu or via one of the external controls. Shutter response was good, faster than average, and cycle times were about average as well.

Sony A350 Review

May 11, 2008 By Eric Reagan

The Sony A350 is a 14.2 megapixel DSLR, which was introduced at PMA 2008.  The A350 features a breakthrough Live View function that offers straightforward and easy-to-use image framing and auto-focusing with the rear LCD panel.  What’s more, the display alternates so that you can get up high or down low without straining your neck or getting on the ground.  As noted in Photography Bay’s Hands-On Preview of the A350, the articulating LCD and Live View function work quite well together.  In fact, these features set the Sony A350 apart from other entry-level DSLRs, including the Nikon D60 and Canon Rebel XSi. Sony A300 Review at Camera Labs

May 7, 2008 By Eric Reagan

Camera Labs has posted a full review of the 10.1 megapixel Sony A300.

The Sony Alpha A300 is a feature-packed DSLR with a compelling price tag. With built-in stabilisation, Live View and a flip-out screen, it ticks the boxes of most new DSLR buyers. Sony’s fuss-free Live View is also arguably the best implementation yet for general consumers. It’s quick, quiet and offers uncompromised auto-focusing performance.
