Content-Aware Crop is Coming to Photoshop

May 27, 2016 By Eric Reagan

Photoshop Content Aware Crop

Photoshop’s content-aware tools have been pretty magical in a lot of ways since they were first introduced over six years ago. In the next Photoshop CC release just around the corner, we will have the ability to use content-aware cropping, which will save some space on the corners of our images as we level out the horizon of images.

Of course, there will be limitations as we have seen when using other content-aware tools when it comes to complex areas of the image. For simple foregrounds and skies, this could be a big time saver though.

It would be more useful in Lightroom, since that’s where I do most of my cropping.
But still a great feature for those who don’t get it right in camera.

      Agreed on the Lightroom integration.
