Apple has update Aperture 2 to version 2.1.3.
This update, recommended for all users of Aperture 2, improves overall stability and provides fixes for issues related to database integrity and compatibility with specific file types.

Rice High’s Pentax Blog is reporting the leak of a possible new Pentax DSLR. The image originally leaked out on a Chinese blog. Hit up Rice High’s link for an explanation of why the blurry image could be the next big deal from Hoya-owned Pentax.
Nikon has released firmware updates for the D40 and D40x DSLRs.
The following issues has been resolved in A firmware version 1.12:
With firmware Ver. 1.11 and earlier, the number of images that could be captured (battery performance) when an EN-EL9a was used was less than when an EN-EL9 was used. By upgrading A firmware to Ver. 1.12, EN-EL9a performance is maximized so that more images can be captured (battery performance) when an EN-EL9a is used than when an EN-EL9 is used.

The oft-rumored and poorly kept secret Nikon D5000 has finally been revealed by Nikon. The final camera is basically what was expected by the numerous rumor-mongers out there. The Nikon D5000 features 12.3 megapixels, a 2.7″ articulating LCD and, of course, HD video capture.

The Nikon AF-S 10-24MM F/3.5-4.5G ED DX lens is a new, wide angle lens for Nikon crop-sensor DSLRs – hence the DX designation in the lens name. The 10-24mm lens has 35mm focal length equivalent of 15-36mm. It will be available in May 2009 for a retail price of $899.95.

The Joby Gorillapod SLR-Zoom is one of the more recent additions to the popular Gorillapod line. The previous Gorillapod SLR offered the ability to mount your DSLR and small lightweight lens onto it with a maximum capacity of 1.75 pounds. Pentax has released a firmware update for the K20D DSLR. Version 1.03 is intended to address the following issue:
Improved the accuracy of SR (Shake Reduction) function.

Shortly after the Canon 5D Mark II and Nikon D90 cameras were announced last Summer, Zacuto brought us some really cool video accessories to turn these hybrid-DSLRs into pro-capable video cameras.
Well, Zacuto just made things a lot better with their new gunstock rigs for DSLRs.
The key here is not to encage with metal, keeping it light at 6.5 lbs. including camera & follow focus make it the only true portable capable of shallow DOF.
