Lowepro has just launched a pair of new camera bags, the Flipside Sport AW and the Urban Photo Sling.

The Flipside Sport AW is available in two sizes and two colors with convenient body-side access so you can get to your camera gear without removing the pack.  Additionally, the divider system is removable, allowing you to turn the bag into a daypack for other gear.  There’s also a side pouch for a hydration bladder and port for a sip tube.  The Flipside Sport AW retails at $124.99 and $134.99.

The Urban Photo Sling is available in black in two sizes and is built for compact, on-the-go kits.  It features two loading options – top load only or fully open. There’s also a dedicated iPad slot, along with pouches for small photo accessories.  The Urban Photo Sling retails at $99.99 and $84.99.

Think Tank Photo Airport Accelerator, Airport Commuter, and Airport Essentials

Think Tank Photo has announced a new trio of travel-worth photo backpacks – the Airport Accelerator, Airport Commuter, and Airport Essentials.

  • Airport Accelerator accommodates two pro size DSLRs, six to eight standard zooms, a 500 f/4.0, iPad, and up to a 17” laptop. The largest of the three, this one has a padded removable waist belt.

  • Airport Commuter accommodates a pro size DSLR, four to six standard zooms, (increased depth holds a 400 f/2.8), iPad and 15” laptop .

  • Airport Essentials accommodates a standard DSLR, four to six standard zooms, iPad, and up to 13” laptop.

The Think Tank Photo Retrospective line of camera bags are one of the newest series in their lineup.  It’s also one of the few bags that you can get in something other than black.  While I am certainly partial to black camera bags, I absolutely love the new Pinestone color on these Retrospective bags.

There are several different bags in the Retrospective lineup – from the Retrospective 5 (for compact and mirrorless kits with a couple of lenses and accessories) to the Retrospective 30 (for handling a more pro-level kit up to a DSLR with 70-200 attached plus extra lenses and bodies). [Read more…]
