Lightroom 3 for $149.95 – Deal Alert

B&H has Lightroom 3 available for $149.95.  Even if you are looking to get Lightroom 4 later this Spring, this should still be a solid deal since Adobe historically prices new versions of Lightroom for $299 and upgrades for $99.

Adobe Camera Raw 7 Sneak Peek

Adobe Camera Raw 7

Adobe’s Camera Raw 7, which should be packaged with Photoshop CS6.  Like recent iterations of Camera Raw, the engine under the hood is the same thing that powers Lightroom 4, which should be the current version of Lightroom around the release time for Photoshop CS6.

Adobe CS3 and CS4 Customers Will Get Upgrade Pricing to CS6

Adobe stirred the pot a few months back with the news that only CS5+ customers would be able get upgrade pricing to CS6.  Backlash ensued and, now, Adobe has relented with news that CS3 and CS4 customers will have until the end of 2012 take advantage of upgrade pricing on CS6.

Lightroom 4 Beta Now Available

I was checking out the G-Tech booth (more on this soon) at a CES press event last night when a girl from Adobe walked up to me and said I might want to walk around the corner to Adobe’s booth because they just announced Lightroom 4 beta.  Woohoo!

Lightroom 3.6 and Camera Raw 6.6 Release Candidates Available

Adobe Lightroom 3.6

Adobe has made release candidates of Lightroom 3.6 and Camera Raw 6.6 available for download in Adobe Labs.  These versions add RAW file support for the following cameras:

  • Canon PowerShot S100
  • Nikon 1 J1
  • Nikon 1 V1
  • Panasonic Lumix DMC-GX1
  • Samsung NX5
