Sigma 60mm f2.8 DN Art

The new Sigma 60mm f/2.8 DN Art lens should be available later this month for $239. It will be available in both NEX mount and Micro Four Thirds mount.

The new lens was announced along with the 19mm f/2.8 DN and 30mm f/2.8 DN lenses back at CES 2013. The wider lenses carry a slightly lower price tag at $199 and have been shipping for a few weeks now.

The 60mm offers an equivalent focal length of 120mm on Micro Four Thirds cameras and 90mm on Sony NEX cameras. Minimum focus distance is at 19.7-inches and it contains Special Low Dispersion (SLD) glass to reduce chromatic aberration.

Sigma 135mm f/1.8 DG OS Lens in the Works?

April 23, 2013 By Eric Reagan

Sigma Lens

Sigma is really hitting it out of the park lately. The initial line of new lenses – particularly its Art lenses – are simply stunning as both engineering feats and in terms of what we have seen and heard of their real world results.

Case in point: the 18-35mm f/1.8 APS-C zoom, the 35mm f/1.4 and the 30mm f/1.4 APS-C lenses. [Read more…]

Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM Lens Coming Soon?

April 17, 2013 By Eric Reagan

Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM

Holy cow! What a lens for APS-C shooters if this is for real.

The Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM lens appears to have leaked out ahead of an official announcement. The lens would be a boon to Nikon D7100 and Canon 7D shooters if this turns out to be real. With the crop factor taken into account, we would be looking at a field of view equivalent of a 27-52.5mm lens on a full frame camera.

And that’s at a constant f/1.8 aperture throughout the range! [Read more…]

Sigma’s New Lenses and USB Dock Up Close

April 3, 2013 By Eric Reagan

Sigma Lenses at CES 2013

Sigma’s new line of lenses are looking pretty slick. I’m currently testing the new 17-70mm f/2.8-4 with the Nikon D7100 (a promising combination); however, I got to take a closer look at it and some other lenses, including the new 120-300mm f/2.8, at CES 2013. [Read more…]
