Photoshop CC Sneak Peek: Focus Masks

In this video, Senior Photoshop Product Manager Zorana Gee shares a sneak peek of a new feature Adobe is working on for Photoshop CC. It’s a new way to make an automatic selection based off of pixels that are in-focus versus out-of-focus, called Focus Masks.

Expect to see this and more new bells and whistles next week on June 18 for Adobe’s lastest edition of Creative Cloud.

How to Use Photoshop to Edit Video

In the above video, Photoshop Principal Product Manager Bryan O’Neil Hughes explains how to make the video experience less intimidating right inside of Photoshop CC.

In addition to working with video clips and trimming the footage, he shows how you can edit the color and effects of video using Photoshop’s tools instead of a video editing application. You can even edit video with the tools inside of Adobe Camera Raw.

Leica Allegedly Rips Off AppCam for the New Leica T

The recently-introduced Leica T features a 16.5MP APS-C sensor and interchangeable lens mount, along with what looks to be a very polished touchscreen interface. 

It is that touchscreen interface that the software developers at AppCam take issue. According to a snark-heavy press release from AppCam, the Leica T’s operating system is a complete rip off of AppCam’s product. [Read more…]
