If you haven’t used these filters inside Lightroom, Aaron Nace covers the basics and nuances of using these tools. Both can be powerful options for fine tuning the exposure or color of an image. How to Use Filters in Photoshop
Check out the above video wherein Photoshop Principal Product Manager Bryan O’Neil Hughes shows us how to use filters in Photoshop (and which not to use). He covers the older Filter Gallery and using it with blend modes for creative effects.
Additionally, he shows the benefits of using Guassian Blur on a layer mask, along with the new Blur Gallery in Creative Cloud versions. There are several more in the short 7-minute video with which you may not be familiar.

Tiffen Updates Dfx Digital Filter for Photoshop CS5
Tiffen has updated its Dfx Digital Filter software for Adobe Photoshop CS5 and other Creative Suite 5 programs. The plug-ins for Photoshop, After Effects and Premiere Pro CS5 are now fully compatible with 32-bit and 64-bit Mac and Windows platforms.
