Late last year, Blackmagic Design unveiled Fusion 7 for Windows and made it free with a Studio version available for $995 with additional features. That was a big deal because it was previously a $5,000 application for high-end VFX work on Hollywood films like Maleficent, Edge of Tomorrow, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, The Amazing Spider-man 2 and The Hunger Games, as well as hit TV shows like Battlestar Galactica and Orphan Black.
Of course, we wondered at the time when Mac OS X support would be available. Well, it’s not quite on the market for Mac yet, but Blackmagic is already showing off support for OS X and will have more details available at NAB 2015 in just over a week.
