Nikon D7000 Announced
The Nikon D7000 is the successor to the very popular Nikon D90.
The D7000 features a 16.2MP sensor, a 39-point AF system and a large sensitivity range covering ISO 100-25,600. Additionally, the D7000 can capture 1080p HD video at 24 fps, or 720p video at either 24 or 30 fps.
The Nikon D7000 should be available in October 2010 at an initial retail price of $1199.95. A kit version of the D7000 packaged with an 18-105mm kits lens will also be available for $1499.95.

Nikon AF-S 35mm f/1.4G and AF-S 200mm f/2G ED VR II Lenses
Along with the new D7000 DSLR, Nikon has announced a couple of new lenses, the AF-S 35mm f/1.4G and AF-S 200mm f/2G ED VR II.

Canon PowerShot G12 and SX30 IS Announced
Canon has announced two new advanced point and shoot cameras in the PowerShot G12 and PowerShot SX30 IS.
The Canon G12 features a 10MP sensor, 5x optical zoom lens and the ability to capture 720p HD video at 24 fps. Additionally, the G12 offers a sensistivity range of ISO 80-3200, and has a new HDR mode, which allows for multiple shots to be combined into one image. The G12 has a 2.8″ vari-angle LCD at 461k dot resolution.
The Canon G12 should be available in October 2010 at an initial retail price of $499.99. Check availability on Amazon.com.
The Canon SX30 IS is a superzoom camera with a 14.1MP sensor, 2.7-inch vari-angle LCD and a whopping 35x optical zoom lens (24-840mm equivalent). The SX30 IS can capture 720p HD video at 30 fps and offers a sensitivity range of ISO 80-1600.

Olympus E-5 Announced

The Olympus E-5 is the new flagship DSLR that replaces the aging Olympus E-3. The E-5 features a 12.3MP Live MOS sensor, a 3″ swiveling LCD and sensor based image stabilization, among other new features.

Samsung NX100 Announced

The Samsung NX100 follows the well-received NX10 in Samsung’s mirrorless camera lineup. The NX100 features a 14.6MP APS-C image sensor, a 3-inch AMOLED screen and a more compact design than found on its sibling. The NX100 is capable of capturing 720p HD video and offers a sensitivity range of ISO 100-6400.
Samsung did not provide pricing or availability information for the NX100 prior to the embargo date; however, I will update this page when such info becomes available. In the mean time, you can check availability on Amazon.com.

Along with the NX100, Samsung has also announced several new NX-series lenses available in 2011, including the following:
