Adobe CS3 and CS4 Customers Will Get Upgrade Pricing to CS6

Adobe stirred the pot a few months back with the news that only CS5+ customers would be able get upgrade pricing to CS6.  Backlash ensued and, now, Adobe has relented with news that CS3 and CS4 customers will have until the end of 2012 take advantage of upgrade pricing on CS6.

Lightroom 4 Beta Now Available

Amazing Tech: Rendering Synthetic Objects into Existing Photos

The objects in the bottom row of images have been placed in the original photos after the fact.  What’s so impressive though, is that lighting and color characteristics of the objects and scenes interact with each other.  That is, the objects appear to be lit by the existing lighting of the scene and, at the same time, cast new shadows in the scene.

Photoshop Elements: From Snapshots to Great Shots is a new book from photographer and fellow blogger, Jeff Revell.

In the book, Jeff covers the Photoshop Elements workflow from intake to print and web output.  “He covers the key software features that affect and improve your image, including: removing blemishes with the Spot Healing Brush, using masks to isolate effects, sharpening with High Pass, darkening blue skies and using gradients, creating black and white images, going wide with a Panorama, and removing people with Photomerge Scene Cleaner.”

Photoshop Elements: From Snapshots to Great Shots retails for $24.99; however, it is currently available for pre-order on Amazon.com for only $14.48.
