Fuji Updates XF Lens Roadmap
Fuji has updated its XF lens roadmap for Fuji X-Series mirrorless cameras with the following lenses:
- NEW XF120mmF2.8 R Macro 1:1 Macro, telephoto lens
- NEW XF35mmF2 R compact and lightweight standard focal length lens
- NEW 1.4x Teleconverter for XF50-140mmF2.8 R LM OIS WR, XF120mmF2.8 R Macro, XF100-400mm
- The “Super Telephoto Zoom” lens that was announced on the previous roadmap update will have a focal range equivalent to 150-600mm (35mm format equivalent).

Sony Lens Roadmap Shows Full Frame Commitment
One of the few criticisms Sony’s A7 series receives is that there are not many native lenses available for the full frame cameras. Well, Sony is aiming to remedy some of that criticism by aggressively building out its full frame lens line in 2015.
In a new lens roadmap, Sony highlights its short term goal of 20 lenses in its FE line (that’s full frame E-mount lenses). I suspect we could start seeing these lenses launching as early as January 2015 at CES.
New Fuji Lens Roadmap Published
Along with the release of the new Fuji XF55-200mm lens, Fuji has updated its lens roadmap for its X-Series, which presently includes the X-Pro1 and X-E1 mirrorless cameras.
The new roadmap (full version below) includes the pancake XF27mm f/2.8, XF10-24mm f/4 OIS and XF23mm f/1.4 lenses by the end of 2013. Additionally, Fuji has the XF56mm f/1.2R as its flagship prime portrait lens slated for early 2014 (which I would expect to see at or just before CES 2014). [Read more…]
Fuji X-Pro1 Lens Roadmap
New Fujifilm lens are coming for the X-Pro1. Fuji recently released a roadmap detailing upcoming XF mount lenses.
This fall, expect to see the XF 14mm f/2.8 prime, alongside the XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4 lens. In early 2013, Fuji will be launching the XF 56mm f/1.4, the XF 27mm f/2.8 pancake and the XF 23mm f/1.4 lenses. In mid-2013, Fuji will launch the XF 55-200mm f/3.5-4.8 and the XF 10-24mm f/4 lenses.
