DualEyes Now Available for Mac

DualEyes is a standalone program from the maker of PluralEyes and will sync your audio files for without the need to use another editing program.  You may be familiar with PluralEyes, which is an audio-syncing plug-in for Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, Media Composer and Vegas Pro.

Singular Software has announced that DualEyes is now available for Mac.  The standard price is $149 for the software, while the Mac version is available at a special introductory price of $119.  There’s also a free 30-day trial available.  Get more details from the Singular Software website.

Kubota Viva La Vintage and Pow Wow! Action Paks for Photoshop

Viva La Vintage and Pow Wow! are two new Action Paks from Kubota Image Tools.  They contain 24 Photoshop Actions each, with Viva La Vintage focusing on classic looks of past decades, while Pow Wow!’s Actions include “popping-fresh enhancements including Black & White, Color, and Creative Effects: BW Museum, Pearly Shells, and FunkTaFi.”

These new Kubota Action Paks run $109 each or can be purchased as a bundle for $179 direct from Kubota Image Tools’ website.

Canon Video Contest Film Lands at Sundance

Canon’s video contest, “The Story Beyond the Still,” which has been cooking along for a year now, will culminate in the debut of the short film created by contestants and Vincent Laforet at the Sundance Film Festival this Sunday.  The complete short film will be available on the Sundance Channel and Vimeo.com on Monday.

Demystifying SD Cards

This article was sparked by a recent conversation I had with some folks at SanDisk.  We were talking about the numerous types and ratings of SD cards and how there are lots of questions from users about the acronyms, labels and speed ratings associated with SD cards.

In this article, we’re going to look at the different types of SD cards, along their speed class designation, and why these are important for you and your camera.  By the end of this article, you should have a better understanding of what works in your camera and why.  Moreover, you should be able to choose the right SD card for your camera and the way you want to use it.

Kubota Image Tools Secret Italy Workshop

Create Great iPhone Photos is a new book from Allan Hoffman that covers iPhone photo apps, tips and tricks to help users get the most out of their iPhone cameras.  I don’t know that I’ve seen a book solely dedicated to using your iPhone’s camera, but if you’re really wanting to do more with your iPhone photography, you can find the book for about $19 on Amazon.

Samsung ST6500

The Samsung ST6500 is a 16MP camera with a 5x optical zoom (26-130mm equivalent) and a 3-inch touch screen LCD.  The ST6500 can also capture 720p HD video .
