Canon Developing Wireless Remote Sync Cameras, 30fps Still Shooting a Possibility

September 8, 2011 By Eric Reagan

Canon 1Ds Mark IV

Not only is Canon looking to put wireless TTL radio flash sync in future cameras, it is also working on technology to sync remote cameras with your primary camera.

According to a recently published patent application, Canon may be putting wireless camera syncing inside a future 1D/1Ds series body. We saw a hint of this in an earlier patent application, but this more recent application sheds some light on the breadth of the features. [Read more…]

Adobe Carousel

Adobe has launched a new cloud-based photo syncing product, dubbed Carousel, which aims to manage photo libraries across multiple devices.  For starters, that means iPhones, iPads and Macs.

‘Bad is Bad’ Feature-length Indie Film Shot on a Canon 7D, Available Free on Vimeo

September 7, 2011 By Eric Reagan

Bad is Bad

We’ve seen such a democratization of filmmaking over the past 3 years.  ‘Bad is Bad’ is more proof of that.  Kent Lamm and Chris Fornataro used a Canon 7D and a shoestring budget to shoot their first feature-length film last summer.

Bad is Bad is our first feature length movie. It was written when we were 19 and shot when we were 20. Our total budget was about $6,000. We filmed it in 18.5 days in Richmond, Virginia in the summer of 2010 using the Canon 7d (which made up a quarter of our budget alone).

Check out the trailer below. [Read more…]
