Capture: Digital Photography Essentials – New Book

Capture is a new book from Glen Rand, Chris Broughton, and Amanda Quintenz-Fiedler.  The book “concentrates on photography from a digital- capture workflow point of view.”

Capture retails for $39.95; however, it is currently available for $24.55 on Amazon.com.

“Real” Photoshop for iPad . . . With Layers

One of the coolest things at the Photoshop World 2011 Keynote this morning was the unveiling of the Photoshop for iPad tech that Adobe is working on.  While the recent upgrades for Photoshop Express on iOS adds some horsepower to the app, the stuff that Adobe has in the pipeline for tablet devices looks pretty sick. Samsung NX11 Launch Delayed Until Mid-April . . . Probably

Just got word on the lingering Samsung NX11, which was announced in December 2010 with an anticipated release date of February 2011.  After checking it out at CES 2011 and posting a hands-on review, I’ve been waiting and waiting for it to show up at B&H Photo, Adorama and Amazon.

But those retailers don’t even have a product listing for the camera yet – a bit odd for a camera that was supposed to be out last month. [Read more…]

Nikon DSLR Rebates Extended

Nikon has extended its DSLR and lens instant rebates through April 30 with a couple of modifications.  The high-end pro DSLRs are out, but the new stuff like the D7000 and D3100 are still part of the program.
