Check out this Bird’s Nest Timelapse with a Twist
This bird’s nest timelapse video with a GoPro did not turn out as expected. Tan Nguyen found the nest in his front yard and set up his GoPro camera in the tree to capture the action. He got much more than he bargained for and now his nature video has amassed over 5 million views in less than a week.

DSLR Beginners Kits by Photography Bay
Here is a new Canon DSLR kit from B&H Photo for which I custom selected the products and asked B&H to provide discounts to Photography Bay readers (which they did $$$). I have a Canon kit for now (a Nikon kit is in the works) and if these turn out to be popular, there may be more down the line.
My thoughts on putting together these kits were to select quality, reliable and affordable DSLR kits for beginners. These are kits that are a good fit for most beginners who just don’t know what they are looking for but would like a quality camera at a good price.
There are no cheap tripods or junk accessories inside these kits. This is gear that I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to my mom or my best friends if they wanted a first “serious” camera. Check out what’s in the Canon kit below.
Canon Beginners Kit by Photography Bay
- Canon Rebel T6 Kit w/ 18-55mm IS II Lens
- Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM Lens
- SanDisk 32GB Extreme UHS-I U3 SDHC Memory Card
- Vello IR-C2 Remote
- Slik Sprint 150 Tripod with SBH-150DQ Ball Head
- LensPen
- Ruggard Commando 25 Shoulder Bag
- Understanding Exposure by Brian Peterson (Book)
- Total Cost = $683.92
If you bought these items separately, it would cost $749.45 right now. So, a big thanks to B&H for giving Photography Bay readers a deal. You can order the Canon Beginners Kit here at B&H Photo.
