Lighting for Digital Photography by Syl Arena Due Next Month

September 15, 2012 By Eric Reagan

Lighting for Digtal Photography

Lighting for Digital Photography is Syl Arena’s next book, which is due out at the end of October.  Syl wrote the excellent Speedliter’s Handbook on Canon Speedlites last year and I expect him to nail this one as well.  (You can read my review of Speedliter’s Handbook here.)

Lighting for Digital Photography will go beyond just the Canon Speedlite system and also dig into lighting with Nikon speedlights, bigger strobes and continuous lights.  Additionally, the book will cover use of light modifiers such as umbrellas, softboxes, flags and gels.

Syl is a great teacher and Speedliter’s Handbook proved he knows how to teach in written words in addition to the workshops he’s known for.

Lighting for Digital Photography is currently available to pre-order for $14 on Amazon.com.  This book would make a great stocking stuffer this holiday season for the photographer in your life.
