Sigma has announced pricing for its new 50mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art lens at $949. The lens is available for Canon, Nikon, Sigma and Sony mounts. It is listed with an expected availability date of April 29.
Lensbaby Releases 5.8mm f/3.5 Circular Fisheye Lens
Lensbaby has announced a new 5.8mm f/3.5 Circular Fisheye lens for Canon and Nikon APS-C DSLRs. It’s a manual focus lens with a close focus distance of 1/4″. The lens barrel features a focus distance scale and hyperfocal scale.
The lens produces a complete circular inside the image sensor frame with a 185° angle of view.

Tamron’s New 150-600mm is the Sharpest ‘Budget’ Birder Lens
DxO Labs has run the new Tamron 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC USD lens through its DxO Mark tests and indicates that it beats out other “budget” super-telephoto lenses, including Canon’s classic (and more expensive) 100-400mm L lens. Of course, it offers an additional 200mm on the telephoto end over the Canon lens as well.
The Tamron lens was also pitted head-to-head against the Sigma 150-500mm and edged it out as well. Check out the entire comparison and test results over at DxO Mark.
