February 3, 2011 By Eric Reagan

The Nikon D7000 is temporarily listed at “In Stock” at Amazon.com.  It also appears to be currently available at Adorama.

Better hurry.  These have only been lasting a few hours whenever a retailer gets a shipment.

Nikon D7000 Confirmed to Use Sony Sensor

January 26, 2011 By Eric Reagan

Tech analysis website, Chipworks, has confirmed that the Nikon D7000 features a 16.2MP Sony sensor. This is almost certainly the same APS-C sensor found in the Sony A55 and A580 cameras.

Nikon D7000 Availability Update

November 15, 2010 By Eric Reagan

Speaking of the Nikon D7000 . . . .  B&H Photo now has the D7000 “available for pre-order,” which (as many of you may know) means B&H will have real stock of this camera very soon.

B&H doesn’t do long lists of pre-orders that take months to fill.  Instead, they only open up the pre-order list when stock is confirmed and then shut it down when stock runs out.

Here’s the link while it lasts:  Nikon D7000 w/ 18-105mm lens at B&H

Nauticam NA-D7000 Takes the Nikon D7000 Underwater

November 13, 2010 By Eric Reagan

The newly announced Nauticam NA-D7000 is an underwater housing for the Nikon D7000, which allows you to take the 16MP DSLR down to a depth of 100M.  It will set you back a bit on top of the D7000 sticker price though.  The Nauticam NA-D7000 carries a retail price tag of $3100 and should be available at the end of this month (just in time to make it on your wish list).

Nikon D3100 Review

November 9, 2010 By Eric Reagan

The Nikon D3100 is an entry-level DSLR with a 14.2-megapixel DX format sensor, which captures great still images, as well as 1080p HD video.  The D3100 sits at the low-end of Nikon’s DSLR line-up and is surprisingly affordable given its feature set. [Read more…]
