Digimarc for Images Offers 3 New Editions

Digimarc has unveiled 3 new digital watermarking solutions for photographers with it Digimarc for Images software.  The software features a new “Chroma” technology that embeds ownership and usage rights into the images themselves without affecting the quality of the image.  These digital watermarks as embedded and read with Photoshop software and can be detected with free browser plugins for Windows users.

Digimarc for Images is now available in basic, professional and small business editions at price points ranging from $99 to $499.

Bibble 5 Pro Updated to Version 5.0.1

– Sony Alpha DSLR-A500

– Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH1

Corel PaintShop Photo Pro X3 Announced

Corel has announced the latest version of its PaintShop software for digital image post-processing.  PaintShop Photo Pro features a new organizer for rating and tagging photos, as well as RAW image conversion, along with a number of other features.  The new software retails for $100. DxO Optics Pro v5.3.7 for Mac

They’ve got three variations of dynamic, animated holiday video greetings that can be easily shared online via email or website. In minutes, Animoto lets anyone create personalized videos – just upload your favorite photos and video clips, add personalized text, pick a song to match the mood, and Animoto takes care of the rest.

It’s not only a paperless, Earth-friendly way to send your holiday well wishes out, it’s also budget friendly – 30-second videos are free, full-length videos cost just $3, and an annual subscription is only $30; high-resolution downloads are just $5 and DVDs cost $20.

The above video took me about 10 minutes or so to make, which included importing photos from a SmugMug gallery (a very cool feature that’s integrated within Animoto).
