Scott Kelby’s Photoshop CS5 Book for Digital Photographers Now Available

August 6, 2010 By Eric Reagan

The Adobe Photoshop CS5 Book for Digital Photographers is a new book from Scott Kelby that takes a photographer’s approach to Photoshop CS5.  The new book “includes a special bonus chapter with his own CS5 workflow, from start to finish, and each chapter ends with a Photoshop Killer Tips section, packed with time-saving, job-saving tips that make all the difference.”

Kelby’s book for Photoshop CS was the first book that I ever bought for Photoshop, and it really helped me get off the ground with the rather intimidating software.  If you are a photographer struggling with Photoshop CS5 (or any version for that matter), you could do a lot worse than picking up a book penned by Kelby.

The Adobe Photoshop CS5 Book for Digital Photographers carries a retail price of $54.99; however, it is available now for $34.64 on Amazon.com.

Pentax Mirrorless Camera Coming Soon?

August 4, 2010 By Eric Reagan

Is a Pentax mirrorless camera just around the corner to compete with the lineup from the likes of Panasonic, Olympus, Sony and Samsung?

If CitiGroup’s recent report on Pentax’s parent company, Hoya, is to be believed, then the answer is: Yes.

The following quote appeared in the CitiGroup report at issue:

“Hoya plans to release a mirrorless camera under Pentax brand that is distinct from models already on the market.” – CitiGroup

With Photokina 2010 just around the corner, we could see this new camera sooner rather than later.
