Davinci Resolve 14 Continues to Grow as a Full-Featured NLE

When Blackmagic Design unveiled Davinci Resolve 12 a couple years ago at NAB 2015, the company raised lots of eyebrows with what it presented as a full-fledged NLE for video editing from start to finish with all the power of Resolve’s color grading tools in it as well. Canon Should Be Very Worried About Sony . . . and Act Like It

NAB 2017 is a very video-centric tradeshow. Today, however, I walked away with a striking impression of the photo industry. As the digital camera market becomes more and more niche, the benefit for manufacturers is that consumers in the market become more and more specific to the features and tech they want in their cameras.

As I sat in the Blackmagic Design press conference this morning, I was impressed with the company’s advances with Da Vinca Resolve 14, its new ATEM Television Studio Pro HD and Bluetooth features for the Ursa Mini Pro. However, the thing that struck me the most during the press event was the sheer number of Sony mirrorless camera users in the room. New T-Shirt: Adjust Your Focus Premium Tee

We’ve got a new premium version of the “When life gets blurry, adjust your focus” design that we launched last fall. Some people didn’t like the way the original shirt felt (some loved it though) but the new premium version is a thinner, softer fabric and offers a fitted design with a longer torso.
