Zeiss has launched a new line of lenses for the Sony full frame E-mount, which currently includes the A7, A7R and A7S models. The two lenses launching the Sony E-mount are the Zeiss Loxia 35mm f/2 Biogon T* and the Zeiss Loxia 50mm f/2 Planar T*, which are priced at $1299 and $949, respectively. There’s a new low light king in town – the Sony A7s.
DxO Labs recently put the A7s through its DxO Mark test and delivered numbers for the Sony A7s sensor’s performance, which earned it the top spot among all cameras for the best low light performance with a score of 3702 ISO. [Read more…]

Alongside the new RX100 III, Sony has announced pricing for the highly-anticipated A7s at $2499.
The camera features a 12MP full frame sensor and captures 4K video to external devices by outputting the signal through its HDMI port. Early results promise stunning low-light shooting capability with an impressive sensitivity range covering ISO 50-409,600.

Aside from the 4K capability, one thing everyone is talking about on the new Sony A7S is the new 12MP sensor and the ridiculous low light sensitivity that it delivers.

Sony has posted sample footage from the new A7s on YouTube in full 4K resolution. Not that many people have a monitor to view it in full 4K resolution, but it’s there nonetheless. Of course, you can still get a great impression of the camera from the full HD version.
