SanDisk has unveiled the world’s first CFast 2.0 memory card with its new Extreme Pro model that is available in 60GB and 120GB capacities.

Canon Expands Large Format S-Series Printers with 44-inch iPF8400S and 24-inch iPF6400S Models
Canon has added a pair of new large format printers to its line – the new imagePROGRAF 44-inch iPF8400S and 24-inch iPF6400S printers. The new color management capabilities of these models are designed to help ensure output is consistent and accurate across multiple locations and environments.
The new imagePROGRAF iPF8400S and iPF6400S printers should be available later this month for $4,995 and $2,995, respectively.

Canon EOS Cinema Cameras Get ISO 80,000 via Firmware Updates
Canon has issued firmware updates for its C100, C300 and C500 cinema cameras that expand the sensitivity range to ISO 80,000, along with several other feature additions and enhancements.
The EOS C100 and C300 firmware updates will be available from Canon in November 2013, while the C500 firmware update will be available in December 2013.

Canon Unveils New CN-E35mm T1.5 L F Cinema Prime Lens
Initially announced as under development just prior to NAB 2013, Canon has released a new cinema prime lens – the CN-E35mm T1.5 L F.
This new lens is a full frame EF-mount lens that marks the sixth lens in the EF cinema prime line-up. As a full frame lens, it is compatible with the Canon 1D C, 1D X, 5D Mark III and, of course, all EOS Cinema cameras with EF mounts.
Other lenses in the line-up include the 14mm, 24mm, 50mm, 85mm, and 135mm EF-mount Cinema prime lenses.
The Canon CN-E35mm T1.5 L F Cinema prime lens is expected to be available in December 2013 for $5,200.
Canon EOS M Announcement Coming Soon?
I had been wondering whether Canon would drop a new EOS M or two in the mix before PhotoPlus 2013 (I first saw the original EOS M last year at PhotoPlus 2012). As a of right now, Canon only has the 70D to show off at PhotoPlus. While there are plenty things to be excited about in the 70D, it won’t quite be as fresh when the end of October rolls around. I expect Adobe to drop the full version of Lightroom 5.2 any day now. It’s been a full month since the Lightroom 5.2 release candidate was made available and preliminary support for the 70D was included.
Those of you looking to work on your Canon 70D raw files can do so with the release candidate. Or, if you have Aperture 3, Apple has already made full support for the 70D available in it.

Canon 70D Now In Stock and Shipping
B&H just receive its first shipment of the Canon 70D and is beginning to ship out pre-orders. The 70D is now listed in stock here at B&H Photo. The BG-E14 battery grip for the 70D should also start shipping tomorrow from B&H.
