Rokinon 12mm T3.1 Cine Lens Released

Rokinon 12mm T3.1 Cine lens

Rokinon has announced a new 12mm T3.1 ED AS IF NCS UMC Cine DS Fisheye lens for full frame image circles.

As with other Rokinon Cine lenses, it provides geared focus and aperture rings. The 12mm fisheye provides a 180° angle of view and a removable petal-shaped hood.

The Rokinon 12mm T3.1 Cine lens retails for $549 and is available for Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Sony A-Mount and Sony E-Mount cameras. Check it out here at B&H Photo.

Redesigned SLR Magic HyperPrime CINE 12mm T1.6 Lens Unveiled

SLR Magic has announced a new HyperPrime CINE 12mm T1.6 lens for Micro Four Thirds cameras. It is a mechanical upgrade over the original 12mm T1.6 CINE lens redesigned to better suit cinema needs with gearing on the aperture and focus rings; however, the optical design remains the same. Canon EOS Cinema Cameras Get ISO 80,000 via Firmware Updates

Canon has issued firmware updates for its C100, C300 and C500 cinema cameras that expand the sensitivity range to ISO 80,000, along with several other feature additions and enhancements.

The EOS C100 and C300 firmware updates will be available from Canon in November 2013, while the C500 firmware update will be available in December 2013.

Canon C100 Short ‘PULSE’ Makes Its Debut

The Canon C100 was used to shoot the docu-short PULSE, which profiles the making of the BioBeats app, a new technology that utilizes cameras to generate custom music based on a human heart rate. The short was directed by Patrick Moreau of stillmotion. Aside from showing off the footage of the C100, it’s a well-told story that’s worth a few minutes of your time.

How about some new juice on the Canon 5D Mark III?  Keith over at Northlight posted some interesting things he heard on the 5D Mark III, stating:
