Note: This is labeled as a gray market item and, therefore, won’t include a US warranty card. At the time of this post, ebay seller GetItDigital has a positive feedback rating of 99.6% and offers its own 1-year warranty with the camera.
Today is Amazon Prime Day, which Amazon is using to promote its Prime membership benefits (you can get a free trial) with tons of deals (which Amazon says are better than Black Friday deals) across the different categories Amazon sells, including photography deals. Canon just made some massive price drops on the EOS C300 and EOS C100 cinema cameras. The EOS C300 dropped from $11,499 to $6,499. That’s a $5k drop in price. The C100 dropped by $1,000 from $3,999 to $2,999. [Read more…]
There is a big price drop for the Canon 7D now in effect, which brings the price down to half off at just $749 (was $1499). I don’t know for sure but I suspect retailers are clearing out stock of the 7D since the 7D Mark II has been released and it will probably be gone for good soon.
There original Canon 7D is almost 6 years old now but is still a heckuva camera. It broke the mold for Canon’s APS-C lineup when it was announced in 2009. See my original Canon 7D Review for more and check out the deal while it lasts here at B&H Photo.
Also, the 7D with EF 28-135mm IS lens kit is $849, while the 7D with EF-S 18-135mm IS lens kit is $1099.
