The recently announced Sigma 100-400mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM lens is now available for pre-order for $799, which (as predicted) is substantially less than the comparable Canon models. It is available for Canon, Nikon and Sigma mounts and is expect to ship in late May. Check it out here at B&H Photo.
The recently-announced Sony A6300 and some of the Sony G Master lenses and teleconverters are now available for pre-order.
The A6300, which features a newly developed 24.2MP APS-C sensor and uses Sony’s 4D Focus system and shoots 4K video, is available for $998 with a ship date of March 10 here at B&H Photo.
The Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM lens is available for $2198 with a ship date of March 31 here at B&H Photo.
The Sony FE 85mm f/1.4 GM lens is available for $1798 with a ship date of March 31 here at B&H Photo.
B&H sent out a notice that the Sony A7S II will start shipping this week on Friday, October 16. Pre-orders will ship out first and additional stock will be subject to availability. Check it out here at B&H Photo.
The recently-announced Sony A7S II is now available for pre-order with shipping starting on October 16. Pre-orders are shipped on a first come, first served basis. Recall that the A7S II adds 4K internal recorder and 5-axis image stabilization on the sensor like its sibling A7R IIand A7 II models. You can pre-order now here at B&H Photo.
The recently announced Sony cameras are all now available for pre-order. The 42MP Sony A7R II is expected to ship in late July, while the Sony RX100 IV and RX10 II will ship in early to mid-July. You can get in line for the pre-orders at B&H Photo via the links below.
The Canon 5Ds and 5Ds R are now available for pre-order. So far, this is the camera of 2015 with its 50MP full frame sensor. I suspect initial availability will be limited to those who pre-order early, so you had better get in line now if you want one from the earliest shipments in June. My thoughts are that this is perfect pricing for this lens, and I think Sigma is going to sell a ton at this price with the overly positive early reviews we’ve seen. Sigma is knocking it out of the park lately, and this is yet another home run.
