Samsung Germany has published the product page for the NX2000 even though an official press announcement has not been made yet. Key details of the upcoming APS-C mirrorless camera include a 20.3MP sensor, 3.7″ touch screen display and wireless image sharing with mobile devices.

Samsung could be releasing a full frame mirrorless camera in March, possibly known as the NX-R, which appeared alongside the now-official NX300 in a Samsung leak back in October. However, there is no solid word on what the spec list of the rumored NX-R would contain.
Additional rumors point to a Samsung NX30 coming in the future as a replacement to the Samsung NX20.

Ahead of CES 2013, Samsung has launched its new NX300 camera. The Samsung NX300 is a new 20.3MP mirrorless camera that captures both still images and 1080p HD video. Additionally, the NX300 can capture 3D photos and video with the new NX 45mm f/1.8 2D/3D lens.
The NX300 features a sensitivity range of ISO 100-25,600 and 9 fps continuous shooting mode. Other features include a 3.31″ AMOLED touchscreen display and iOS and Android WiFi connectivity through Samsung’s Smart Camera app.

The Samsung EX2 advanced point and shoot camera now comes in white (in addition to black). The 12.4MP compact camera captures RAW files, features a 3.3x optical zoom lens (24-80mm equivalent) with a f/1.4-2.7 max aperture and captures 1080p HD video. Check it out here at B&H Photo.
The mCAMLITE for Samsung Galaxy S III is the first case, lens and tripod adapter unit for the Galaxy S III. Like the mCAMLITE for the iPhone 5, the Galaxy S III version is all aluminum and offers a macro/wide combo lens attachement, along with a cold shoe for accessories and several 1/4-20 holes for tripod or accessory mounting.

I had my first chance to go hands-on with the Samsung Galaxy Camera at PhotoPlus 2012. For those unfamiliar with the new camera, it is an Android-powered hybrid of a camera that is somewhere between a point and shoot camera and a smartphone. After earlier rumors of Android-powered mirrorless cameras from Samsung, a couple of the rumored model numbers (the NX-R and NX300) showed up on Samsung’s website.
As those earlier rumors indicated, the NX-R is expected to follow the design of the Samsung NX20 with the upgrade to Android OS. And the NX300 is believed to be an Android-powered successor to the Samsung NX210 and should add a new optional EVF and OVF to the design. [Read more…]
Samsung dropped what looks to be a pretty exciting camera with its Galaxy Camera last month, which is a heavy duty Android 4.1 Jelly Bean-powered point and shoot. In it, the camera is not just one of the features, it’s the whole point of the device – something that looks to become a serious trend.
Even with manufacturers that aren’t putting a full-on Android OS inside, we’re seeing a more app-like environment that extends beyond normal camera settings and mode selections (e.g., Sony’s new Apps in NEX models and the Canon 6D‘s built-in WiFi with sharing to iOS and Android devices). So it should come at no surprise that Samsung is expected to build (at least some) future NX mirrorless cameras around the Android OS. [Read more…]
